Columbus Urban League president discusses racial equality and police reform
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) — It’s been more than a month since protesters called for change, police reform, and an end to racism.
Columbus Urban League president Stephanie Hightower discusses racial equality, police reform, and where the city stands to Good Day Columbus’ Maria Durant and Jackie Orozco.
On July 13., Columbus City Council addressed police reform in a virtual meeting.
Council members discussed expanding background checks for police officers and how to define a hate group and what it means to be affiliated.
