Hightower Statement on CHIPS Act incentives for Intel/Central Ohio

The following is a statement from Stephanie Hightower, Columbus Urban League President & CEO, on the announcement of Federal CHIPS Act incentives for the Intel project in Central Ohio:

Ohio can now not only grow the height and breadth of its economy, but we have a once in a lifetime chance to expand the breadth and depth of our prosperity as well. A more inclusive economy will powerfully leverage the CHIPS investment, creating high wage careers and wealth-building options for more people of color and those in underserved communities—and this, in turn, will contribute to everyone’s shared prosperity.”
