Parent Enrichment: Supporting the whole family
Your Columbus Urban League, in partnership with The City of Columbus, and Franklin County Common Pleas & Juvenile Divisions, offers a new eight-week program that serves both youth and their parents.
The program will help build self-esteem, leadership abilities, public speaking and communication skills for our youth, all in a supportive community with cohort participants and engagement coaches.
The Parent Enrichment Program also offers parents the curriculum and tools they need to develop healthy co-parenting partnerships, re-entry intervention strategies, conflict resolution tactics and school relationship support.
Youth will be invited to work on problem solving techniques by identifying an issue they see in their community, develop how they relate to these issues and find a solution amongst peers to the identified problems. They will simultaneously work with local leaders, mentors and impact organizations to find innovative approaches to their community concerns.
All graduates will present their ideas addressing community dilemmas to Can’t Stop Columbus, for an opportunity to bring these solutions to life.
Applications for the first cohort will be accepted starting June 22, but you can complete this interest form now to be added to the waitlist:
