The Columbus Urban League’s 48th annual Empowerment Day will celebrate businesses and community leaders championing change and paving the way for equitable economic and social impact. Over the past year, your Columbus Urban League has begun living out and advocating for a new approach to advancing racial equity and social justice. We have been focused and intentional to immerse our team and integrate into our systems the principles of asset-framing. We do so because research tells us that, if our entire community embraces the concept of identifying and helping people use their gifts and achieve their dreams, we can usher in a fully inclusive economy to the benefit of everyone in Central Ohio.
