The Columbus Minority Business Assistance Center

Through its two offices in Columbus and Athens, the Columbus Minority Business Assistance Center (MBAC) provides management, technical and professional assistance, access to capital, surety bonding, connection to business opportunities and assistance with MBE/EDGE/WBE/VFBE Certification.

MBAC aims to connect entrepreneurs and emerging business owners to the resources, opportunities, and contract procurement information to help them achieve, scale, and market success. The Columbus MBAC offices offer free assistance to minorities, women, and small disadvantaged businesses in 18 Ohio counties, including Athens, Coshocton, Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Guernsey, Hocking, Licking, Knox, Marion, Morgan, Morrow, Muskingum, Noble, Perry, Pickaway, Union and Washington (see map here).

To get started with MBAC, individuals should first complete this simple intake registration. A member of our MBAC staff will then follow up to schedule a consultation. If you have already completed this intake form, you can ask a question or connect with our team here.

“There have been several community resources that just simply could not or would not assist me. It has been very disappointing and a long road. Thank you, Columbus MBAC, for not forgetting about me and for giving my business a fair chance.”
