The WRT University Career & CULture Experience (also known as Ready2Earn) is back for 2022! This program is for youth ages 14-18 (income eligibility may apply) and will run for 6 weeks, from June 20 through July 29. The program will include in-person and hybrid career exploration and development programming. Through WRT University, youth can earn up to $1,500 in stipends and incentives for completing project-based learning goals, skill development and career exploration. In-person internships, paying $15/hour, are available for youth ages 16-18 (or previous program participants). Employers looking for interns should visit cul.org/employers.

The Young Geniuses STEAM Summer Learning Initiative is designed for TANF-eligible youth entering grades 5-8 in the 2022-23 school year. The program runs from June 13 to July 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily at KIPP Columbus (with field trips too!). Youth will be introduced to science, technology, engineering, arts and math concepts to spark an interest in future careers in those fields. Program funding provided by Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services.
Summer Youth Project: VLOG
Open to ages 14-18. Pays $15/hr for up to 100 hours.

40 youth will learn to create, develop, and produce a group YouTube Platform and Video Blog (VLOG). Students will receive appropriate training and support in the development of the VLOG and YouTube, as well as assistance in creating a marketing plan to attract other teens to view their work.
