Young Geniuses
Open to youth in grades 5-8 (for 2023-24 school year).

The Young Geniuses STEAM Summer Learning Initiative is designed for TANF-eligible youth entering grades 5-8 in the 2023-24 school year. The program runs from June 12 to August 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily at The Shepard School by ECS (with field trips too!). Youth will be introduced to science, technology, engineering, arts and math concepts to spark an interest in future careers in those fields. Program funding provided by Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services.
Summer Youth Project: VLOG
Open to ages 14-18. Pays $15/hr for up to 100 hours.
Application deadline has passed
40 youth will learn to create, develop, and produce a group YouTube Platform and Video Blog (VLOG). Students will receive appropriate training and support in the development of the VLOG and YouTube, as well as assistance in creating a marketing plan to attract other teens to view their work.
