Taking the next step in your financial journey
Journey to Wealth is a signature Columbus Urban League financial program, funded by the Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services and Chase Bank, that goes beyond a high credit score aspiration working with African American and marginalized citizens of Central Ohio to foster the value of financial worth, wellness and wealth.
The Journey to Wealth initiative is a suite of financial services offered to clients that fall on various points along the economic scale.
Who Does it Serve?
Everyone!
Regardless of your income, this program has something to offer anyone that wants to build financial knowledge, skills and achieve wealth goals (i.e. home ownership, financing college or investments).
What are the services being provided?
Counseling Services – Navigators will help clients better manage their money, improve their credit score, pay down debt, increase savings, establish, and build credit, and provide access to safe and affordable banking products. Counselors can also help to create a customized plan to address student loans, buy a house, build financial goals for your business, or start an emergency fund.
Education Services – Navigators will guide the client to the ‘Financial Resiliency Curriculum’ for the right mix of information to help them achieve their short-term financial goals.
Referral Services – Navigators will direct the client to the right resources to address needs/issues not solved for in the Journey to Wealth process (eg. – Career Services, Entrepreneurship, Columbus Legal Aid etc.)
