Huntington Empowerment Center

Built in 1930, 780 Mt. Vernon Avenue housed retail shops and apartments in the heart of the historic King-Lincoln district. However, the building was in disrepair and empty when acquired by the Columbus Urban League in 2012.

The restoration of this historic building included the preservation of the structure’s front architecture.

The 6,500 square-foot Huntington Empowerment Center (HEC) will house My Brother’s Closet and the Minority Business Assistance Center, along with a new STEM learning lab. Learn more here
