Huntington Empowerment Center

Built in 1930, 780 Mt. Vernon Avenue housed retail shops and apartments in the heart of the historic King-Lincoln district. However, the building was in disrepair and empty when acquired by the Columbus Urban League in 2012.

Today, the restoration of this historic building is ongoing — slated for opening this May! — including the preservation of the structure’s front architecture.

The 6,500 square-foot Huntington Empowerment Center (HEC) will house My Brother’s Closet and the Minority Business Assistance Center, along with a new STEM learning lab. Learn more here
