AEP Outage Assistance

Thank you for reaching out to your Columbus Urban League for the one-time, special assistance for those hurt by the recent power outages.

Our portal is closed and the application review process is complete. Email notifications have been sent to every applicant with notification of either an award or the denial.

The rigorous process involved an examination of every application received:
— Prioritize funding to older adults, 65+
— Filter to ensure we are not duplicating our relief with those who already received gift cards (gift cards provided by other agencies)
— Respond to all remaining requests on a first-come, first-served basis

We ask that you check the email used on the application for our response – also look in the spam/junk folder in the event it is not in your inbox.
