Career Services at your Columbus Urban League provides the tools, resources and services needed to help job seekers advance in the workforce.

We aim to be a trusted voice in career advancement for jobseekers throughout Central Ohio with initiatives and partnerships like OhioMeansJobs (see below). We provide unemployed and underemployed individuals the coaching and access they need to find meaningful and life-changing careers.

Luis (pictured at right) was referred to career services by CUL’s Re-Entry HUB team in hopes of finding a job to support his family and to be compliant with the terms of his probation. Luis didn’t have a resume and lacked the resources needed to help him find gainful employment. The Career Services team worked with Luis to identify his skill set, write a resume, and connect with employer partners. On June 24, 2024, Luis was hired as a switcher for FedEx and is currently earning an annual salary of $49,920, along with healthcare benefits, paid time off, and he has elected to contribute to his retirement through a 401K plan.
