Our Mission: To advance business opportunities for minority and small disadvantaged business enterprises, and provide market access that leads to sustainable business relationships.

Nice words, but what do they mean? To the Columbus Urban League, they mean everything. Through the Minority Business Assistance Centers (MBAC) Program, we are helping to develop and grow small, minority-owned, and socially and economically disadvantaged businesses.

So what exactly does MBAC do? Through the MBE certification process, as well as the provision of technical assistance, professional consulting, access to capital, the MBAC staff identifies and helps to develop emerging Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Encouraging Diversity and Equity (EDGE) enterprises.

What’s more – by providing assistance in obtaining state contract opportunities, MBAC can help you secure revenue streams that will position your business for stability and growth. The results: a strengthened minority business community, job creation, and economic growth in Ohio.

So what does it cost? Nothing. MBAC services are available at no cost to businesses located throughout Ohio.
