The Columbus Urban League’s Head Start Academy’s are designed to leverage the skills, talents and resources of the CUL, in service of our young students. We strive to be the premier 21st century Early Childhood Education service provider that is preparing young students for academic success as they (NOT in their) transition to their next level of learning. Our School Readiness Goals target the domains of language and literacy development, cognition and general knowledge, approaches to learning, physical well-being and motor development, and social and emotional development.
The HSA’s integrate the expertise of key community stakeholder throughout its design. Some key stakeholders in partnership with the CUL HSA’s are COSI, The Ohio State University, Columbus City Schools, Southwestern City Schools, Canal Winchester Local Schools and Groveport Madison Local Schools, KidsOhio.org, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, to name a few. The CUL is currently offering scholarships for its HSA’s.
